Seymour Drumlevitch

Painter (1923-1989).  Born Brooklyn, New York.  Lived in Buffalo 1947-1950, 1952-1956, 1959-1965, 1966-1989.   Drumlevitch was a prolific abstract painter whose work is exhibited in museums throughout the world.  His creations consist of primarily oil paintings and ink drawings, as well as the incorporated use of collage in pieces created after 1960.  His work, which often featured Jewish themes, received several art awards during his lifetime.   Drumlevitch also taught art for many years at the Albright Art Gallery and the State University of New York at Buffalo.
