Kristallnacht - The Night of the Broken Glass

Sixty five years ago, on the night of November 9-10, 1938, the German government ordered the destruction of every synagogue in Germany and Austria. German and Austrian hoodlums, with or without membership in the Nazi party, deliberately soaked all the interiors of synagogues, large and small, in gasoline and burned the insides until the walls fell. In some instances the walls remained standing but were torn down the next day by wrecking crews assembled in advance for that purpose.

During the burning of the synagogues fire engines stood by to make sure that no “aryan” property caught fire (the word “aryan” is a Hindu word meaning masters).

During that same night and during the day on November 10, gangs of young men entered Jewish owned stores and threw the furniture through the windows. In the downtown areas this led to a massive accumulation of glass all over the streets, particularly outside of department stores, where broken furniture mixed with appliances, clothing and even food all cluttered the sidewalks and the streets.

Numerous Jews were beaten in the streets. Some were hurled into lakes and canals to drown while others were carted off to concentration camps. Some were murdered there, others survived.

In commemoration of these events, Ohio State University at Columbus, Ohio is hosting an anti-Jewish conference this weekend. The conference will begin on Friday, November 7 and continue on the 8^th and 9^th. The official name of the organization which called the conference is The Palestine Solidarity Movement. One of its principal sponsors is the ex-Jew, professor Joseph Levine of the philosophy department.

Last year this conference was held at the University of Michigan. There the crowd of Jew haters screamed in unison: “Kill the Jews.” We can expect nothing better this year.

It is to the credit of Rutgers University in New Jersey that they refused to host this hate gang. It is to the discredit of the Ohio State University to become the vehicle and locale for the dissemination of anti-Jewish hatred in this country.

The “agenda” of the PSM is first and foremost the destruction of Israel and the slaughter of all its 5.5 million Jewish inhabitants. In other words, another Holocaust. Of course the PSM denies that the Nazi Holocaust ever happened and claim that the effort to remember that great persecution is nothing more than an effort of Jews to make money.

They also pretend that Israel’s self defense against Arab murder is somehow a “holocaust” and that terrorism against Jews is legitimate.

Violent extremism is the very core of the PSM movement, whose members include Palestinians who have organized homicide bombings. Of course the bombers are always deluded children, never the organizers themselves.

The PSM also rewrites history. They claim that the Temple never existed in Jerusalem, that the western wall was something else, that Abraham was an Arab, that all Jews are descendants of the Russian Khazars and on and on. Even more insane is the pretense that the killings of Jewish children, women and men now occurring all the time are somehow caused by the return of the Jews to Samaria and Judea. The truth is that before 1967 when Israel was not at all in control of Judea and Samaria there were daily murders of Jews in the pre-1967 borders. Obviously, nothing makes any difference to the haters, whose sole purpose in this world is the killing of Jews.

According to the PSM no Jew has a right to exist. Therefore the Governor of Ohio, Robert Taft, said recently: “The Palestine Solidarity Movement condones terrorism and should be opposed by civilized people everywhere.”

It is fairly certain that neither the PSM nor other such university type hate gangs will get very far in this country. However, in Europe these haters have already infected the majority of the European population with their animus. This was easy because the people who slaughtered 6 million Jews between 1933-1945 are still the same. They are ready for another holocaust. This will probably not be possible because the European governments know that they are too dependent on the United States to erect gas ovens or other murder devices. Instead, they have made the lives of European Jews so miserable that already now a number of European Jews from France, Belgium and other places have moved to Israel.

Remember that the Arabs caused so much trouble for the Russian Jews that one million moved to Israel recently. Therefore it can be said with certainty that the same thing will happened in Europe. At least one million or more of the 2.5 million European Jews will be forced by Arab attacks and the usual European complicity to move to Israel. The Arabs are so full of venom that they attack the Jews of Europe and thereby increase the Israeli population.

Meanwhile they are trying it here. However, here, the principal supporter of Israel is President George W. Bush, who has just authorized the installation of a nuclear deterrent on Israel’s submarines. His support for Israel at the United Nations and everywhere has been greater than that of any President before him.

Remember that Bill Clinton wanted to give Arafat all of Gaza, Judea, Samaria and Jerusalem and that Arafat turned this down because he sought the destruction of all of Israel and was denied that ambition.

Remember that Jimmy Carter was and is a major enemy of Israel and the Jewish people and that even in the 1930’s and 40’s it was Franklin Roosevelt who refused the entry of German Jews into this country before the second world war. He even refused the entry of a mere 900 Jews who were stranded on the ship St. Louis, so that these Jews were forced to return to Germany and certain death.

One year from now we have to vote for the survival of Israel and the Jewish people. Now and then we need to place that issue into the forefront of our decision. If we don’t we will regret it when it is too late.
