The Subversion of American Democracy |
Oligarchy In
2016, when Donald Trump was elected President of the United States, he was met
at once with a cascade of hatred as had never been seen in American history.
This outburst of hate began before he could take office on January 20, 2017.
Therefore the malicious efforts to unseat him could not be the result of any of
his policies or anything he said, since he was not president for two and a half
months after his election. Attacks
against President Trump continued these three and a half years as a phony
impeachment effort was attempted by Democrats, who pretended that Trump is an
agent of the Russian government. When this lie failed, he was blamed for the
Chinese virus, an accusation so bizarre it would not even have occurred to
Hitler. Therefore
it is evident that the hatred of Trump by the Democrats and others lies in the
audacity of this American citizen to run for the office of President when he has
never held a political office before and is not a member of the political
oligarchy (rule of the few). Our
constitution does not prohibit the election of any citizen to the presidency.
However, the entrenched politicians who feed off the taxpayer for a lifetime
view themselves as the ruling class and resent the intrusion of someone not a
member of the bosses, who don’t care for the Constitution, or for freedom of
speech, or freedom of the press or
religion, and who want to abolish the second amendment so as to make the
American people defenseless. The Democrats want to abolish the electoral college
so that they can rule forever. They want foreigners to vote, although the
Constitution allows only citizens to vote. They already control most of our
media, whether in print or electronic, so that the American people cannot learn
the facts but hear only propaganda promoted by Democrats. Democrats seek to
pervert the justice system which excuses all crimes committed by foreigners and
Democrats. In short, Trump is hated because he is in the way of the
establishment of an American one party police state. In
addition to the assault on American democracy by elected officials, we are also
plagued by a host of unelected bureaucrats who seek to enslave the American
people with endless rules and regulations. It
was the tyranny of the British King George which drove the American colonists to
declare their independence from England in 1776. Among the numerous accusations
against the King was the phrase, “He has erected a multitude of New Offices
and has sent hither swarms of Officers to harass our people and eat out their
substance.” If
the signatories of the Declaration of Independence were alive today, they would
surely be horrified at seeing the same “swarms of officers eating out our
substance” in 2020. Now
as the vast unelected bureaucracy is entrenched in the capitals of our states
and in Washington D.C., these
oligarchs rule over us without the “consent of the governed” and solely for
their own advantages. In
addition to dealing with the huge bureaucracy imposed on us, we are faced with
the subversion of our government by a huge web of nepotism in our legislatures
and in federal, state, and local governments (Nepotism refers to the habit of
Pope Calixtus III [1378-1458] to appoint his nephew to numerous posts in the
Vatican. The Latin word for nephew is nepote”). Examples
of this subversion of the electoral process are numerous. For example, in New
York the governor is the son of a previous governor, and his brother is a
television commentator. Nepotism began almost at once after the country was
founded, as the son of our second president, John Adams, became our sixth
president. Likewise the son of President George Herbert Walker Bush , George W.
Bush, became President in 2001. In 2016, Hillary Clinton, the wife of President
Clinton, became the Democrat nominee for the presidency. Earlier Caroline
Kennedy, daughter of President John Kennedy, became ambassador to Japan,
although she knew so little about Japan that she could not even find Japan on a
map. Lisa Murkowski became senator from Alaska when her father resigned his
seat. The son of former representative Morris Udahl is now a representative and
Representative James Jeffords of Vermont is the son of the Chief Justice of
Vermont. Rodney Frelingshuysen is a representative from New Jersey. He is in the
seat of five of his ancestors. Senator Chris Dodd is the son of former Senator
Thomas Dodd. Senator Pryor of
Arkansas’ father was also senator. Senator Olympia Snow is the wife of the
governor of Maine. One representative of Missouri is the daughter of the
governor and former Senator Lincoln Chafee of Rhode Island is the son of Senator
John Chafee. Several widows of senators and representatives are now members of
Congress. Tom Allen of Maine is a member of the Portland city council, as was
his father and grandfather. Representative Charlie Gonzales is the son of
representative Henry Gonzales, former Sen. Evan Bayh is the son of former
Senator Birch Bayh, and Missouri Senator Matt Blum is the son of Senator Roy
Blum. This
list of nepotism in American politics is a short sample of numerous other
officeholders whose only qualification is the accident of birth. We
therefore ask this question. “When will the American people put an end to all
these abuses of our democracy? Shalom u'vracha. Dr. Gerhard Falk is the author of numerous publications, including Gender, Sex, & Status (2019).
